Think frozen yogurt is the healthy option?

Frozen yogurt bars are popping up all over town, but a growing number of nutritionists are warning that the dairy treat might not be as healthy as people think.

Many experts highlight that while many flavours often contain less fat than traditional ice cream they are often packed with sugar to make them more palatable.

When comparing Pinkberry’s frozen yogurt flavours with a range of seemingly sugar-laden desserts MailOnline discovered that, per 100g, ten of Pinkberry’s offerings contain as much sugar as a McDonald’s McFlurry and more sugar than both an original glazed Krispy Kreme and a medium-sized Wendy’s Chocolate Frosty, However the Pinkberry selection does contain significantly fewer calories and less fat.
