يعرض منزل عاش فيه البطل العالمي السابق في الملاكمة للوزن الثقيل محمد علي كلاي في سبعينيات القرن الماضي للبيع في مزاد علني يقام الشهر المقبل.
وأفادت صحيفة “فيلادلفيا إنكوايرر” الأميركية ان المنزل الذي اشتراه علي كلاي في العام 1971 ب 100 ألف دولار فقط وحوله بعدها إلى “قصر صغير” سيباع في مزاد علني في 8 سبتمبر المقبل.
علي كلاي باع المنزل في العام 1974 ب 175 ألف دولار إلى مالك سلسلة مطاعم ماكونالدز أنطوني كيكايل، والمنزل يضم حوض سباحة داخلي وبوابات إلكترونية وغرفة طعام مميزة قريبة من المطبخ بالإضافة إلى أمور عدة أخرى. وذكرت باتريسي فريدريش من شركة “برودنشال فوكس & روش” للعقارات ان أهمية المنزل تكمن في كونه كان منزل محمد علي. يذكر ان علي كلاي فاز ببطولة العالم في الملاكمة في العام 1974، بعدما كان خسر اللقب أمام جو فريزر بالعام 1971

فقد كتبت أحلام مساء أمس تغريدة أخبرت فيها محبيها أنها لن تقدّم برنامج “أراب أيدول” بجزئه الثاني، الإعلان بدا غريباً، سيّما وأنّ النجمة كانت قد أعلنت في وقت سابق أنّها وقعت على تجديد عقدها مع البرنامج لموسميه الثاني والثالث.

Miley stepped out today in a pair of racy stocking-style tights, which Selena was spotted wearing late last year.

Cracking your knuckles (or any of your joints) can have therapeutic benefits. When you crack one of your joints you are pulling the bones that are connected at the joint apart from each other. This process stimulates your tendons, relaxes your muscles, and loosens your joints. Chiropractors do this for spinal joints when your back is sore and stiff, but you can do this on your own for your knuckles, toes, knees, neck, etc. 

Unfortunately, there can be too much of a good thing. Cracking your knuckles will never lead to arthritis (despite what your mom keeps telling you), but scientists have discovered that it can cause tissue damage in the affected joints. Knuckle-cracking pulls your finger bones apart which stretches your ligaments. Too much stretching of your ligaments will cause damage to your fingers akin to the arm injuries sustained by a baseball pitcher who throws too many pitches. In addition to making your hand really sore, this ligament damage can also result in reduced grip strength.

As of the end of fiscal year 2010, Apple  had $75.18 billion in total assets. With an excess of 311 million people in the United States (and counting), Apple’s total assets are just shy of being able to buy every American a $249 160 GB iPod classic. ($75,180,000,000/311,836,448* people=$241.09 per person). That would be $8 per person, or $2.5 billion total, short.

The slightly more affordable 8GB iPod Touch is $229. Theoretically, if Apple sold off all of its assets and used all that money to buy an iPod Touch for everyone, they would still have roughly $3.7 billion left. Of course, this requires that you ignore the very obvious question of “If Apple sold all its assets, who would it buy the iPods from?”.

For the record, that number is one ‘nonillion.’ Once you get past millions, we in America and the scientific community at large each begin to use Greek prefixes (BI-llion, TRI-llion, QUADRI-llion, etc.). However, the rest of the world has a different system that is a great deal more logical. For these other countries, one billion has twice as many zeroes as one million, one trillion has three times as many zeroes, and so on. They would therefore consider our billion “one thousand million” and our trillion “one billion.”
